Our version uses the cleanest organic ingredients, stays gluten-free, and avoids corn wherever we can. The original is shown exactly as the creator posted it.

servings

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) organic chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 ripe organic banana
  • 1/3 cup organic creamy salted peanut butter (just peanuts and salt)
  • 1/4 cup pure organic maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup clean vanilla protein powder (grass-fed whey, no maltodextrin; check flavoring)
  • Organic chopped chocolate, to mix in

Method

  1. Blend everything except the chocolate until it turns into a dough. Stir in the chocolate, spoon it into a jar, and refrigerate for 1 hour to set before eating.

What we changed and why

  • Many protein powders contain maltodextrin, which is usually corn.

Items marked "check" need a quick label read: corn hides in starches, dextrose, and vinegar.
