Our version uses the cleanest organic ingredients, stays gluten-free, and avoids corn wherever we can. The original is shown exactly as the creator posted it.

glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 organic banana
  • 2-4 organic Medjool dates
  • 1 cup organic unsweetened almond milk (gum-free)
  • 1/2 cup organic full-fat coconut milk (guar-gum-free if possible)
  • 1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract (corn-free)
  • 1/8 tsp organic cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp organic nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp organic cloves
  • Pinch of sea salt

Method

  1. Blend everything until smooth and creamy.
  2. Serve cold.

What we changed and why

  • Gums like gellan are often fermented on corn sugar.
  • Many vanilla extracts use corn-based alcohol. Look for one made with cane alcohol, or use vanilla bean powder.
  • Iodized table salt usually contains corn-derived dextrose. Sea salt does not.

Items marked "check" need a quick label read: corn hides in starches, dextrose, and vinegar.
